One Chapter Project: Goals

Hey everyone, 

Today we've launched the blog, with the hope to bring it to a website in the future once things pop off more. For now, if you're reading this and you're wondering just what the One Chapter Project is, look no further.

The One Chapter Project is a platform for writers to express themselves and soft publish their works; specifically one chapter of their work at a time. 

As a writer, I find starting a short story or a novel to be the most exciting part of the process. The idea is fresh, your brain is pulsing with images and twists, and the words just start flowing. Then bam! You think of something new or better, and you're left with a short draft of something that could have been, but probably won't end up being. 

But, it exists.

The One Chapter Project is a place for you to showcase those scrapped ideas or short-short stories, and to read what others have been working on. 

Having a personal blog was critical for my success in writing my first novel. There were times I needed to get something off my chest or flesh out an idea, and posting on my personal page helped me with that. I think that a collective 'writer's board' would do the same, but on a greater scale for more people.
